Centre Place Support

Service Provided:

Victoria Drive Pupil Referral Unit provides teaching support for primary aged pupils attending Wandsworth Primary Schools who have been identified by their schools as having Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SENDs). The pupil’s main needs are Social, Emotional & Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD).

Pupils usually access support for two terms, but this can be negotiable depending on the needs of the pupil. 

The different types of support offered by this Service are:

    Direct Teaching
    • Direct work can take place in the form of small group KS1, KS2 and Nurture sessions at the PRU and 1:1 sessions at the PRU.
    • Where required, key workers can create bespoke learning packages for pupils requiring additional support.
    Advice & Consultation
    • Advice & Consultation for SENCo, Teacher and Teaching Assistant
    • Training for staff in schools
    • Sharing resources
    Multi-Agency Team Work
    • Support to Head Teachers.
    • Joined up thinking with external agencies via observations
    • Contributing to EHCP co-production meetings
    Reports
    • Termly reports for all pupils accessing support from the service
    • Report writing in support of Education, Health Care Plans (EHCPs
    Family Support
    • Family Support, including home visits and sign posting for further support agencies
    • Funding Support
    School Placements
    • Support with transitions from placements
    • Support with Managed Moves
    Referrals
    • Play Therapy or CAMHS sessions via referral
    • Links with External agencies e.g. Future Skills
