Going on trips helps us to get a real life understanding about the topics that we are learning about. We can use this experience to help us with our learning back at Victoria Drive PRU. Also, it helps us to practice all of the skills that we have learnt about being safe at school and in the wider community.

Forest Schools practice session with Edress at Wimbledon common
Forest Schools at Chesterton Primary with Edress
Western Riverside Waste authority to learn all about recycling
Wimbledon Park to practice our tennis skills
Holly Lodge to join in a workshop about ‘Getting ready for winter
Dean City Farm to learn about the animals for our non-fiction reports
Battersea Park zoo to help us learn about the animals for our instructions
Polka Theatre to watch a play to help us with our winter topic
Wimbledon common to practice our cycling skills
West Wittering Beach

We took all of the children attending PRU groups to West Wittering Beach, we traveled on a coach, they all had a great day collecting sand, shells, seaweed and anything else they found on the beach.  Some children even found crabs

This trip was a hook for the new book we would be teaching from; Flotsam
