Football beyond boarders (FBB)

FBB is led by an education charity which uses the power of football to inspire young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their goals and make their voices heard. We do this by putting a young person’s passion for football at the heart of their educational experience.

Our football themed, project based FBB Curriculum develops literacy, problem-solving skills and creativity through the prism of football. So, for example, students learn to use a range of adjective and adapt their language to different contexts and tones through creating engaging and effective football commentary. Our curriculum offers interactive, digital exercises which makes use of cameras, social media, analytics and live streaming in partnership with our FBB TV production arm.

FFB provides pupils within the educational curriculum the opportunity to develop their understanding of taking part in sporting activities. Pupils must follow rules and regulations, follow adult instructions, and learn how to work together to become a team.

FBB core values are

Teamwork
Resilience
Leadership
These values help pupils to become role models, not just when they are taking part in sporting activities, but in the classroom and everyday life.

Football is used as a way of engaging the participants, helping them achieve their goals and making their voices heard in a constructive environment, developing their personal development.

Currently 5 pupils are taking part in the Football Beyond Borders programme every Friday morning at Victoria Drive PRU with 2 FBB coaches and a member of the Victoria Drive Team.
