About Us

Victoria Drive Primary Pupil Referral Unit is part of Wandsworth’s Primary Inclusion Service. The main purpose of Victoria Drive Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is to provide high quality education to pupils from mainstream Wandsworth primary schools, all of whom have Social, Emotional & Mental Health Difficulties (SEMHD)

A key strand of the policy and practice of behaviour management at Victoria Drive PRU is to work collaboratively with Wandsworth primary school practitioners to support pupils with SEMHD to access education and become happy learners. Staff in schools are encouraged to use the PRU’s ethos to understand and respond to pupils’ SEMH needs. This involves a close partnership and a Team Around the Child (TAC) approach.

This Service also offers full time education to any pupil who is a Wandsworth resident and has been permanently excluded from their primary school.

Pupils referred to this Service can:

  • receive specialist teaching and support either at the PRU or in their own school, to enable them to develop strategies for managing their behaviour to enable them to access learning.
  • receive high quality education through a programme designed to meet their individual needs in a safe and supportive environment at the PRU.

Schools can refer pupils directly.
